Being Down on Yourself

Sometimes we feel bad.

If you find yourself doing these things, or slipping into these bad habits, try to stop – immediately.

  1. Comparing yourself to everyone and everything around you.
  2. Putting yourself down all the time.
  3. Never ever taking a compliment.
  4. Telling yourself negative things about yourself over and over again.
  5. Hanging around people who put you down.
  6. Not letting people get to know you.
  7. Avoiding giving compliments or doing things for others.
  8. Trying to be perfect and live up to everybody’s expectations.
  9. Criticising yourself – telling yourself that you can never do anything right.
